Museum Passes

 

 PLEASE CHECK MUSEUM WEBSITES REGARDING OPENING INFORMATION AND INFORMATION REGARDING ONLINE TICKETS.
We are appreciative to the Friends of the Acton Library for providing the following museum passes to our library patrons for check out with their Acton Public Library card. 

Passes provide discount or free admission, dependent on the policies of the museum. Please read instructions on museum passes carefully!
​Passes may not be be reserved or placed on hold. Give us a call at the circulation desk and we will happily check if the pass is in at that time.​

Connecticut River Museum This pass allows up to 2 adults and their children or grandchildren under the age of 18 into the museum for free.

 

CT State Parks and Forests This pass can be used to waive the admission fees to enter a building or museum at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam and Fort Trumbull State Park in New London. Pass can be used for two adults and four children between the ages 6 to 12 years (admission is free for children under 6 years). Gillette Castle and Fort Trumbull are closed until Memorial Day weekend.

The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art           in Amherst, MA. Free admission for 2 adults and up to 4 children.

  The Florence Griswold Museum
 in Old Lyme, CT. Free admission for 2 adults and 2 children under 12.
 Mystic Seaport, Museum of America and the Sea
 in Mystic, CT. 50% off admission for 2 adults and up to 3 (ages 3-17) children. Kids 2 and under are free.
  Niantic Children’s Museum
in Niantic, CT. 50% off admission for up to 4 people.

Connecticut’s Old  State House in Hartford. Valid for General Admission during regular operating hours only.

 

 

 

Salem Witch Museum in Salem, MA.  This pass allows the bearer discounted admission rate for up to six visitors. Tickets are sold online only! You must go to their website to purchase the discounted tickets with the library code on the museum pass. It is important to bring the orange museum pass with you when you go to the museum.

Library member rates:

Adult/Senior: $13.25

Child(3-14): $10.75

Not valid in October.

 

 

Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. One pass provides FREE general admission for two adults. Youth ages 17 and under are free. The pass may be used to register for daily public tours at no extra cost. Call 860-838-4100 or email info@theWadsworth.org to preregister, as tours currently require a limited capacity. Additional fees may be applied to some special exhibitions.
